Refining their Skills! Late Teens-Young Adults (16-26, or Junior in HS through 26yrs old)

Young Adult Meet Ups

Young Adult Meet Ups are a 2 hr group designed for just those 18-26yrs old! This is a unique program that allows the young adults to practice the ins and outs of social chit chat, decorum, and expectations at restaurants and during the social down time we all have while walking and waiting, and hanging out.

  • Meet at our site, then chat to and from the eatery, learn to budget, tip, and stay involved while eating.
  • Allows parents and young adults to start the dialogue about money, realistic expectations, and social decorum.
  • Program similar in nature to what all adults do for social outings now that we are all grown up!
  • Young Adult Meetup builds stamina due to 2hr length
  • Special needs can be accommodated; however, this program is best suited for those that are verbal enough to understand topics or considered to be “high functioning.”
  • Open to individuals 18-26yrs old. Can still be enrolled in HS, a vocational ancillary program offered at HS level, post HS.
  • This program runs on a semester like basis (Sep-Dec, then Feb-April)

Centauri Series coming to UTH in Winter 2018!

The Centauri series are like “Chapters” in our lives. Each “Chapter” stands on its own for what it is focusing on, but it belongs to a whole “book” of items needed to be successful in adulthood in our careers. The Centauri series is for members 16-26. They do not have to be officially graduated from high school to participate. They can be in their district’s vocational program, or be fully graduated and no longer attending any public school’s programs.

It is meant to cover topics that are needed for our late teens/ young adults to be considered and exploring as they mature. It is intended to help them introspect, and discuss openly their fears, concerns, excitements, and needs.
