Dr. Laurie Harrier
Dr. Laurie Harrier
Executive Director: Dr. Laurie Harrier, LP, LSSP, NCSP

Dr. Laurie Harrier has 12 years of experience working as a LSSP (Licensed Specialist in School Psychology) in various districts in the north Texas area including Arlington, Lewisville, and Denton ISD. Within the school setting she was responsible for group and direct counseling, social skills interventions, evaluations for various disabilities, and consulting with teachers and parents. She developed and ran a summer camp for children with social challenges. Dr. Harrier is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Texas. She has created, and is the Executive Director, for a north Texas based 501c3 nonprofit called United Through HOPE, which has various social programs geared to help individuals age 3 through adulthood overcome their social challenges by developing strong "social skills" to act as a leader in various settings. Dr. Harrier also has a private practice in the North Texas area that focuses on neurofeedback and neuropsychological evaluations. Dr. Harrier often acts as an advocate in IEP and 504 meetings for her families. She has partnerships with various universities to supervise interns and practicum students, and her sites are often used for field experience and volunteer options for various disciplines. Throughout her training Dr. Harrier has focused on the developmental, biological, behavioral, and neurological underpinnings to various disabilities and disorders, and strongly believes that a varied and open minded approach leads to better understanding and generalization of skills. She has published and spoken at various conferences on social skills programming, executive function challenges, and generalization approaches in the school setting. Aja Moore

Aja Moore is enrolled at University of Texas in Arlington in the Masters Social Work to practice Marriage and Family Therapy. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a minor in Development and Family Studies. Aja has had experience working with children and families as a child care worker, and through mentoring, and volunteering. Aja joined our team starting in January 2015, as a practicum student with our organization. She has a passion and enthusiasm to work with children, families, and couples.

Rose Njeri

Rose Njeri graduated with a Bachelors in Child Development with a Child Life emphasis from Texas Woman's University. She has been a part of our team since May 2014, when she chose to do her undergraduate practicum with us. As a future Child Life Specialist and a Workout Instructor, she agrees with the needs that UTH assists in, seeing that use of play and health is crucial to a child's success. Rose exhibits a passion for children, boundless energy and enthusiasm, and great ideas. The Allstars Games program we currently now offer was a result of her practicum idea.

Andrea Mason
Andrea Mason

Andrea Mason, LMSW, completed her Master's in Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington and earned her Licensed Masters in Social Work license. She is currently pursuing the additional hours to gain the license of Clinical Social Worker. She has always held on to the Dostoevsky quote, "the soul is healed by being with children." Andie started volunteering with a League of Friends program in 2009 and joined the Future Allstars team in 2010 when Dr. Harrier was still working at Denton ISD. Through the programs offered at UTH, Andie has found a great passion for working alongside children, working together to build social and leadership skills. Andie has been a part of our team since June 2012.

Brandy Earl graduated from LeTourneau University with a Masters in Counseling Psychology. Brandy is pursuing her Texas requirements to become a LMFT/LPC (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist/ Licensed Professional Counselor). Brandy received her BS in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. She has a passion to work with children, families and couples. She is high energy and creative. Brandy joined our team in January 2015.

Joslyn Wilson graduated at the University of North Texas with Bachelors in Psychology and a minor in Family Studies. She is passionate about working closely with people and intends on pursuing a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Joslyn has been part of our team since May 2015, when she began first as a volunteer, underscoring her dedication to the field.

Michelle Jones is enrolled in the Masters Counseling Program at Capella University where she is pursuing her LMFT and LPC licensures. Michelle has a long history of being a substitute teacher in the local public schools. Michelle joined the UTH team in August 2016 as a volunteer, then continued as a practicum and internship student; therefore underscoring her level of dedication. Michelle is currently supervised at UTH by Dr. Laurie Harrier for her masters level field work.

Mary Rofail is currently a masters level graduate student at Amberton university where she is pursuing her degree in professional counseling with an emphasis on families and mental health. Upon completion she intends to obtain LPC licensure. Mary holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from Texas Women's University. She has worked with children for 7 years in a preschool setting. Mary is looking forward to becoming a strong advocate for families and children and continuing her passion for children having a voice. Mary joined the UTH team in June 2017 and is currently supervised by Dr. Laurie Harrier for her masters level internship.

Eunice Jenkins is enrolled in the Doctoral Family Counseling Program at Texas Woman's University where she is pursuing her LMFT licensure. Eunice graduated with a Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology from the University of Phoenix and also with a Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice form the University of Arkansas. She has extensive background in tutoring children and mentoring at-risk youth. She is passionate about helping the young adults reach their full employment opportunities and assisting families become stronger. Eunice joined the UTH team in August 2016 as a practicum and internship student. Eunice is currently supervised at UTH by Dr. Laurie Harrier for her doctoral level fieldwork.

Chelsey Thatcher is enrolled in the Masters in Counseling Program at the University of North Texas where she is pursuing her LPC licensure. Chelsey strives to be able to adapt her skills to help the varying family and child needs so that she can become an effective LPC. Chelsey has an incredible amount of energy and passion for children, especially those with special needs. The Child Relational Therapy class that UTH offers is designed in conjunction with her need in mind to adapt the traditional CRT for those families with a special needs child. Chelsey joined the UTH team in January 2016 as a volunteer and then in August 2016 transitioned to a practicum and internship student, again underscoring her dedication to the field. Chelsey is currently supervised at UTH by Dr. Laurie Harrier for her masters level fieldwork.

Maddison McKay is completing her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Child Development from the University of North Texas. Maddison intends to graduate in December 2016 and following graduation, she intends to pursue a Master's degree in counseling to become a LPC (Licensed Practicing Counselor). Maddison has experience working with children with those with special needs, and has been a part of the team since August 2015 when she began as a volunteer and most recently transitioned to a practicum student. Maddison is currently supervised at UTH by Dr. Laurie Harrier for her undergraduate level fieldwork

Tanasia Cornish is completing her undergraduate Bachelors degree in Rehabilitation Studies with a minor in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas. Tanasia intends to graduate in December 2016 and following graduation, she intends to pursue a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy to become a licensed OT. Tanasia has a passion for kids, seeing them grow, learn, and become strong independent individuals. She has a keen awareness of how to adapt to accommodate a child's particular needs. Tanasia has been a part of the team since August 2016 when she began as a practicum student. Tanasia is currently supervised at UTH by Dr. Laurie Harrier for her undergraduate level fieldwork.

Paige Tolliver is currently enrolled in the Masters of Social Work program with an emphasis on Children and Families at University of Texas at Arlington, where she is pursuing her LMSW licensure. Paige earned a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Texas Woman's University. She has previous experience working with children to strengthen social skills, practice appropriate behaviors, and build healthy coping skills, as well as working with parents to determine effective ways to communicate and reinforce positive behaviors with their children. Paige is passionate about helping children achieve their greatest potential in all they do and assisting children to maintain healthy relationships with their peers, family and other members of the community. She joined the UTH team in January 2017 as a Master of Social Work internship student and is expected to graduate in August 2017. Paige is currently supervised at UTH by both Dr. Laurie Harrier and Andrea Mason, LMSW for her masters level fieldwork.

Rachel Renfro, LBSW, completed her Bachelor's in Social Work at Texas Woman's University and earned her Licensed Bachelors in Social Work license. She is currently pursuing the additional hours to gain a Master's in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is passionate about working with children and helping them see their potential and achieve their dreams. She joined the UTH team in January 2017 as a Master of Social Work internship student and is expected to graduate in August 2017. Rachel is currently supervised at UTH by both Dr. Laurie Harrier and Andrea Mason, LMSW for her masters level fieldwork.

Laura Bass is enrolled in the Masters in Counseling and Development Program at Texas Woman’s University where she is pursuing her LPC licensure. Laura is eager to return to UTH to work with children and their families on a more individualized basis after serving her undergraduate practicum with UTH in 2015. Laura previously assisted with the UTH social program, Allstars, for almost 8 months from 2015-2016. With a background in child development, Laura provides sensitive and inclusive support to all children and their families in an effort to see them grow into their fullest potential. Laura is currently supervised at UTH by Dr. Laurie Harrier for her masters level fieldwork.

Amaris Yoneda is enrolled in Liberty University where she is working toward her Bachelors of Science in Psychology. She expects to graduate in August 2017 and looks forward to using the skills she has learned to help others. She plans on continuing her education in the field of mental health, with a special focus in cognitive functioning. Previously Amaris worked in a private intensive care hospital setting, but she has also spent time learning about the functioning of the human brain in a neurology clinic. Amaris has volunteer experience working with children and teenagers with mental health conditions in the school system, and her ability to do so has been strengthened by the time she spent volunteering at the Texas Juvenile Justice Department in Brownwood, Texas. Amaris joined the UTH team in May of 2017 as an undergraduate student, and is currently supervised by Dr. Laurie Harrier for her undergraduate level fieldwork.

Whitney Folabe is enrolled in the Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy program at Abilene Christian University. She is working toward obtaining her LPC and LMFT. Whitney graduated from the University of North Texas back with an emphasis in psychology and rehabilitation and family studies. Whitney is energentic, open minded, and very passionate about working with families. She joined the UTH team in May 2017 as a masters level Family Counseling Internship. Whitney is currently supervised at UTH by Dr. Laurie Harrier for her masters level fieldwork and also by Dr. Steven Stokes, LPC-S, LMFT-S.

Cassi Webb

Cassi Webb is a master's level graduate student at LeTourneau University where she is pursuing a degree in Counseling Psychology. Cassi holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University. She is passionate about working with children and has been doing so since 2005. Cassi gained additional experience while working in the rehabilitation department at Cook Children's Medical Center, as well as working as an aide for families with children who have developmental disabilities. Cassi completed an undergraduate internship at Christ's Haven for Children where she worked in the Children's Services department and assisted with implementing plans of service alongside the foster care case managers. Cassi joined the UTH team in January 2017 as a masters level counseling internship student. Cassi is currently supervised at UTH by Dr. Laurie Harrier for her masters level fieldwork.

Brad Kearney is the president of CBK3 Consulting where he helps individuals and businesses achieve the future they desire. After graduating from the USAF Academy, he served around the world for a total of 24 years. Lt Col Kearney retired from the US Air Force after his final assignment of commanding an operational F-16 fighter squadron. At Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, he leveraged his leadership expertise to conduct capabilities assessments and build strategic plans for their multi-billion dollar fighter programs. He holds two advanced degrees: an MBA from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master's Degree in Military Operational Art & Science, Air Command & Staff College. Over the years Lt Col Kearney has passionately been involved with the development of youth through years of coaching, school events and speaking engagements, and a wide variety of church youth activities. Today he leverages his executive leadership development and coaching expertise to share the same for our youth and young adults. Brad joined the UTH team in January 2017 to help expand UTH programs to our late teens and young adults.
